    Club AGM – 2011/2012

    For the attention of all Club Members of the AnchorBowmen of Scunthorpe & The 100 Yard Field Archery Club.

    I hereby give notification of the Annual Club AGM. (Everyone should receive a letter within the next few days)

    The AGM will take place on Saturday 11th February 2012, in the Meeting Room of The Royal Hotel, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe.

    The Meeting will start at 07:30 p.m. prompt.

    As this is not a normal Club Day, there will be No shooting on the day.

    Please note – this is advanced notice. Both the Chairman and the Secretary will be standing down from this meeting, but this will be included in the Agenda on the day.

    If anyone has any further items to add to the Agenda, please let me know no later than the week before.

     Indoor Championships 2012 UK Record Status  

    Double Portsmouth County Archers Only

                                                      Yarborough Leisure Centre, Riseholme Road, Lincoln, LN1 3SP Sunday 18th March 2012



    Judges: Miss K Petchell

    Lady Paramount: TBA

    Shooting: Four archers per boss in two details of two. Arrows will be shot in ends of 3 in two minutes. Recurve and Compound archers will shoot on vertical  three spot faces. Longbow, bare bow and Junior archers will shoot on single 60cm faces unless requested otherwise.

    Sighters: 10.00am

    Entry fee: £12.00 adult £10.00 juniors

    Entries to: Mr Ian Prescott, 5 Olive Street, Lincoln, LN1 3HT

       Cheques payable to ‘Lincolnshire County Archery Society’

    Awards: Champion Lady Recurve, Champion Gent Recurve,                                                                          Champion Junior Lady Recurve, Champion Junior Gent Recurve – Challenge Cups.

    Champion Lady Compound, Champion Gent Compound – Gojo Trophies Junior Gent Compound – Kelvin Oldham Shield

    This message will be confirmed by email and/or text shortly, but the session this week, due to be held on Wednesday 14th December 2011, has been moved forward to Tuesday 13th December.

    this change is only effective for this coming week only.

    The County AGM will take place before this shoot from around 10:30 (Correct details to be confirmed shortly)

    Because of the limited space available entry will  be accepted on a first come first served basis.

    Indoor Sessions, an update 

    For the attention of all Club Members

    Sorry about messing you all about, but i can now confirm that we will start shooting, indoors, from this Wednesday 5th October 2011.

    As last year, we will be shooting in the function Room of The Royal Hotel, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe DN15 7DE

    Also, as with last year, we will be trying to publish a list of dates that require attendance on any other nights other than the normal Wednesdays.

    Will also be sending out emails, over the weekend, as a means of confirmation.

    URGENT _ Indoor Sessions, Wednesday 21st September 

    For the attention of all members of The 100 Yard Field Archery Club & The Anchor Bowmen of Scunthorpe

    Urgent ….

    Good evening everyone – it seems to be continuous apologies from me this week. 

    As you will be aware, it was intended that we start our indoor sessions this week.However, due to unforeseen circumstance, we will be unable to start these sessions this week after all (Wednesday 21st September)

    It is hoped that we will be able to start shooting at The Royal in the next week or so and I will , of course, let you know what’s happening by email, Facebook or Twitter as soon as everything can be suitably sorted out.
