Update : 17Nov2009 09:00

At long last, it would seem that I am making some good headway with the update of the site. At this point in time, I could well repeat the previous message – things really are not going to plan. Having spent several days trying to get this site up-to date, but, for whatever reasons the system I'm using at the moment seems to be problematic. There are many many things that, although working, are not working the way they were – and I seem unable, with my limited knowledge, to pull things round. As a means of a break I have been trying a totally different way of using my web-space, and I suspect, that this may well be the solution. All the basic information is now back on line (all with a header/proviso that things are still under repair). Hopefully, in the next couple of days, things should be back on track – but we will have to see what happens. PLEASE NOTE – for everyone's attentions – shortly there will be list posted of alternative Indoor Week day shooting sessions. Although most of them will remain on Wednesday, there are a handful which have had to be moved because of other functions at the Royal. Yours – Dave

Update : 30Oct2009 07:21a.m.

Things are not progressing as well as I would have liked. What may happen in the next few days is that I may have to try an alternative means of delivering this site whilst I fix this part. Have a busy day today, with one thing or another so, although parts of this site have been updated, the site , as a whole , is still under repair. Yours – Dave Update : 27oct09 11:55 Most of the main text and images appear to be now back where they belong. It will take several days to track everything down and square it up (The main image frame on the 100yard club page being one of the main outstanding issues). Most pages still have a warning that work is in progress, and the warning will remain until I'm happy that all has been restored to normal. Please note : on several pages the restored data is well out of date, but it would appear to have been the last of the backup data. Will also endeavour, where possible, to update as I go. Thanks Dave

Friday – 14th April 2009

Firstly, please accept my apologies for letting the information on this site slip a little. There is a few pages to update, and I am still trying to decide what would be the best way forward to carry this out. At the moment, the site is run on a system called Drupal (some of you computer addicts out there may have heard of this system), and this is fairly straight forward to run, in some ways. The other option is to use Microsoft FrontPage (or some equivalent software, so I’m in a bit of a quandary at the moment. Anyway, one for me to sort, soon I hope. Anyway some information for everyone ….

Assistance required – for the attention of all Club members – We are coming into the Spring/Summer season and the club would like anyone who would be available to help with the following: Confirmed : We have once again been invited to attend the Brocklesby Show – this is, this year, on Sunday 28th June 2009. It is an all day event, and, as in previous years, if we can encourage enough people to come we would like to run the day so that everyone would have enough time to have a wander around the show. If you can help out, please feel free to contact any of the committee. Provisional : We have also been asked if we can help out a local school with a “have-a-go” as part of the governments Sports Week – between 29th June and 3rd July. Although this is subject to confirmation, we would possibly be looking for assistance for a couple of hours on the morning of Tuesday 30th June. Again, if you could possibly help, please let a committee member know. Please note – as with last year, there may well be several more “have-a-go’s” across the summer, and we will let you know any further information as soon as we know anything.

Dave – Secretary and Webmaster
