  AGM Update 

  Firstly, can I thank everyone who came to the AGM last Wednesday, it was much appreciated. For the information of all club members, the following information is now available:

  • Annual Subscriptions: Following the required discussions at the AGM, it has been agreed that the Annual Club Subscription rate is to held at the existing levels for another year. With this in mind, I will be posting letters out to all club members asking for their required yearly payments (many thanks to those of you who have already paid). These letters should be with you in the next few days.
  • Summer Have-a-goes. We already have been asked to attend Brocklesby Show, yet again. As with last year, the club is seeking volunteers to help run this Have-a-go, the show taking place on Sunday, 27th June 2010. Anyone who can help on this date, could they please have a word with myself, either of the Steve’s or Brian so we can make up a members list.
  • There is, possibly, several more Have-a-go dates to be confirmed – several possibly at the Heavy horse Centre near Spilsby. I have a list of dates to write up and I will post them shortly.

  As with anything, if you have any questions please feel free to give me a call, and I will try and help.

  Announcement, for the attention of all. 

   

  It is with a heavy heart that i have to inform you of the following announcement (many thanks to Angie Hall…)

  Message originated via Facebook

  “There is sad news I am sorry to say. Richard (Dick) Woodhouse passed away on the 7th Feb in his sleep aged a fine 77 years young. He joined the club when we moved to Elsham and helped out setting the course for the club and the 2 shoots we have held so far. In the tradition of the 100 Yard Club we would like you to all raise your glasses to a fine archer and above all else a gentleman. He will be greatly missed”

  Our thoughts go out to the Woodhouse Family.

  We wish you all well, and Richard will be greatly missed.

  AGM Update 

  For the attention of all Club Members, both The AnchorBowmen of Scunthorpe and The 100Yard Field Archery Club.

  Please note, although there are also confirmation letters to be posted in the next few days, this message is notification that the Annual Club AGM has been rescheduled to Wednesday 17th February 2010.

   

  The meeting will be held in the Function Room (where we have been shooting this winter), The Royal Hotel, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe.

  The meeting will begin at 07:30 p.m.

  As before, if anyone has any items for the agenda, please feel free to contact me, and I will help as best I can. Please accept our apologies for any delay.

  Indoor Shooting Sessions – Update 23rd Jan 2010 

  Indoor Sessions Update – Saturday 23rd Jan 2010

  Please note there is an update message, as regards the Anchorbowmen/The 100 Yard Field Archery Club indoor shooting schedule.

  Below is an updated Indoor Shooting Sessions Calendar (please ignore the downloadable shooting list as this is now well out of date – will try and update if I get a chance)

  We are trying to rearrange the AGM (cancelled from Wed 13th January) for a date somewhere around the beginning of February, but we will, of course, let you know as soon as we have made the arrangements.

  The main reason for this update is that the Indoor Session that was booked for Wednesday 10th February 2010 has now had to be moved to the Thursday of the same week (Thursday 11the February 2010) This Wednesday – 23rd December – this day has had to moved to Tuesday 22nd

  There will be a county meeting on Monday 15th February 2010 at Washingborough. (Lincoln’s pavilion) starting 7pm. Please inform your members, all welcome. Agenda to follow. If anyone has anything for the agenda please let me know before 1st February so it allows 14 days to get it out before the meeting.

  For Information – to all Archers.
  Could you kindly please note. It is unlikely that there will be any Coaches on-site today. It is recommended that all beginners please not attend today,mainly because of the weather. This situation is likely to persist until the present snow and ice clears back to a safe level. Any problem please feel free to contact me (Dave) or any member of the committee. Thanks

  2010 AGM – An urgent Message 

  For the attention of all members of the Anchorbowmen of Scunthorpe and The 100Yard Field Archery Club

  Due to the current poor weather, we, the Committee, feel that for the safety of all, we are cancelling the AGM Meeting that was scheduled for next Wednesday (13th January 2010).

  It is expected that we will rearrange this meeting, again, for a normally booked Evening Shooting Session. Hopefully it will be within the next two or three weeks. We will let everyone know as soon as we can.

  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, by phone or email, or any other member of the committee.

  Announcement – Date of the Club AGM 

  For the attention of all club members of the AnchorBowmen of Scunthorpe and The 100Yard Field Archery Club.

  The Committee would like to announce that the AGM of the club has been arranged for :

  Wednesday 13th January 2010

  at The Royal Hotel. Doncaster Rd, Scunthorpe.

  This will, for evening replace the normal Indoor Session, although the meeting will run at the normal times (07:00 p.m. onwards)
